EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE! I placed an order through doordash. After the delivery was about 10 minutes outside the later end of the window, I called the restaurant just to make sure they received the order. The woman who answered the phone didn’t hesitate to say “it’s on the way!” A few minutes later, the food was at my doorstep from one of their own delivery drivers. (I’m so sorry I didn’t have cash to tip him directly because of doordash’s error!) The General Tso Tofu was DELICIOUS, (vegan), and piping hot when it got here! I will absolutely come pick up at Moon Star in the future! :)

Food was really good! The egg drop soup actually had flavor! Kids loved the boneless spareribs. Portion size was good and everything came in neat and hot. So far, moon star has been the best in the valley in this new economic market of ours!

I don't know why all the bad reviews I was really skeptical ordering from this place when I seen all the 1 and 2 stars and normally I don't order nothing that have between 1-3 stars because I'm staying in the hotel in Shelton and I'm from Waterbury I don't know nothing about the Chinese restaurants in Bridgeport/Shelton area and because they were 12 mins from the hotel I thought I will give them a try especially when people was saying they food came cold the truth is if the Chinese man not delivering your food then it will come cold if someone from DoorDash, UberEATS, etc delivering your food it will probably come cold if the Chinese persons delivery your food trust me you will get fast and hot service I mean that's what I experience because in Waterbury I had some deliveries that was 2 hrs late and cold but if the Chinese man delivers you will get it fresh, hot and fast so don't blame for the other drivers

This is the best Chinese food I have had in a long time. Sometimes the wait is a little long but its ALWAYS worth it. I will never complaine about a wait when the food is well worth it. Their sauce for their fried or steamed dumplings is OUT OF SITE. Fresh ginger, sesame oil and fresh scallions with a spocy kick. Id love to see these guys do some dim sum. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place to anyone in the area.

I'd like to mention that the owner, Tony, has contacted me about all of this and offered an incredibly sincere apology and an offer for our next order to make up for the trouble. He acknowledged the driver lied to him. I truly appreciate it and am 100% willing to give them another shot after this. He said he had plans to show this review to his employee so I don't know if I should take down the rest of my review. So with this being said, take everything below with a grain of salt because the owner definitely cares about their customers. And, when it's fresh, which it usually is, the food is very good. Don't order from here unless you're prepared to wait and starve for well over 2 hours before your order arrives. We have ordered from here a decent amount, usually with not much trouble. I placed an order on a holiday that took over 2 hours to receive for delivery. I didn't initially complain, acknowledging it could have been busy because of the holiday, until there was an issue with being refunded suddenly, and then charged again, even though the money had then got moved from the account for other essentials. I'm not sure whose responsibility that was, whether Uber Eats or the restaurant, but either way, that is when I complained because I was under the impression that I received that for the trouble of that wait. This isn't that important but I didn't want to lie and say I never complained the first time. Tonight I decided to give it another chance. It was not until over 2 hours past the estimated delivery time that we got our food. I called and I wasn't even given an excuse, just "the driver should be there shortly." Yeah, okay, shortly is reaching considering the fact that my order has been "on its way" for 30 minutes when we live approximately 10 minutes away, give or take. So then I call again after 20 minutes from my first call. I get told I got a phone call. I don't have a single missed call or voicemail. I checked the number registered with my Uber account and it's correct. I've never had an issue with the driver calling me. I got told the driver knocked on the door. Not a single knock was heard, we were dead quiet waiting for ANY sign of ANYONE coming here. And Uber still says "on the way." The food is cold because it was sitting outside for god knows how long because NOBODY ensured the food was received by us. I'm so tired of this. I won't be ordering from here again. This was the final straw. Edit: they've now changed the delivery time, but hey, maybe if it was marked as delivered, and I got that notification, my food wouldn't be cold. I still have zero missed calls or voicemails, knowing my phone number is correct. It was never changed and I've had food delivered from here with this same account.
